๐จ TAX REFUND ALERT ๐จ๐ธ๐ฒ
Next week is when refunds really start moving, so let me educate you before the panic posts take over ๐๐๐ฝ
๐ PATH ACT IS LIVE
If you claimed:
๐ถ๐ฝ Dependents
๐ฐ Earned Income Credit (EIC)
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)
Your refund has been on a legal IRS hold. That hold is lifting. This happens every single year. Once PATH goes live, refunds release in waves ๐ not all at once.
๐ REFUND MOVEMENT YOUโLL START SEEING
โ
Transcripts updating
โ
Status changing to Approved
โ
Deposit dates populating
โ
Banks showing pending deposits
This is the normal IRS process not delays, not problems, not errors.
๐ฆ EARLY DEPOSIT EXPLAINED โฉ๐ต
Some banks allow tax professionals to see upcoming refund deposits up to 5 days in advance. That means we can see the deposit is scheduled before it actually hits your account and notify our clients ahead of time.
This does NOT mean the IRS paid you early.
It means the bank already has the deposit.
So if someone gets paid before you, that does NOT mean something is wrong ๐
๐ฝโโ๏ธ

๐ข EITC & ACTC Refund Update โ What You Need to Know
If you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), hereโs the latest on when to expect your refund:
โ
You can expect your refund by March 2 if:
1. You filed your return electronically or with a professional that files electronically
2. You selected direct deposit as your form of payment
3. You are in full compliance meaning no Identity Verification needed & thereโs no missing info or holds on your refund
Some taxpayers may see their refunds earlier than some, that dont have certain credits. For most early EITC/ACTC filers, Whereโs My Refund should show an updated status by February 21.
๐ก Keep in mind:
Your bank or card provider may need extra time to post your refund. Many financial institutions donโt process deposits on weekends or holidays, so timing can vary.
๐ Why refunds are held
By law, EITC and ACTC refunds canโt be issued before mid-February. This hold applies to your entire refund, not just the credit portion.
If more information is needed, youโll receive a letter.
