It’s time for another SENATOR SPOTLIGHT! Meet one of your Commuter Senators, Jacob Haaker! Originally from Livingston, NJ, he’s a senior majoring in Finance with minors in Sports Administration and Political Science. When asked why he joined Senate he said, “I decided to run for a Senate Seat when I was a Sophomore in the First semester. The President of SG at the time, Vikesh Patel, told me about how awesome Senate was and that if elected I would have the ability to meet new people and improve the life on campus for Miami students. 2 years passed and I am still in Senate as one of the Senate's most experienced Senators.” 🙌

Originally from Palm City, FL, Senator Patel is majoring in Health Sciences and Political Science with a minor in Chemistry. When asked what he hopes to accomplish as a Senator, Patel replied, “As Senator, I hope to keep this campus the perfect campus it is, in every way possible. With that said, I hope to bring any idea that the students on this campus think will help our campus grow, to the Senate table.”

When asked what he hopes to accomplish as a Senator, Coles replied, “I aspire to contribute a hopeful atmosphere where we uplift, sharpen and elevate each other through service to our beloved institution. I aim to contribute a character to the Senate that grants my fellow peers the permission to pursue their dreams confidently and realize their own self-worth.”
