The energy inside the Joe Celestin Center on Friday, May 1, 2026, was undeniable as community leaders, stakeholders, and visionaries gathered for the NW 7th Avenue Cultural Arts & Innovation Overlay District Symposium—an impactful convening focused on shaping the future of one of North Miami’s most promising corridors.

Presented by Pierre Frantz Charles, M.Ed., CRA Board Member, the symposium set the tone for a purposeful and forward-looking dialogue centered on the intersection of culture, community, and commerce. Let's reflect on the Housing Summit. We were proud to partner in support of the District 3 Fair Housing Fair, hosted by Mary Estimé-Irvin, this past Sunday at the Griffing Community Center.

We stood alongside residents, industry professionals, and community stakeholders for an afternoon centered on education, access, and empowerment. From aspiring homebuyers to longtime residents, attendees connected directly with banks, mortgage lenders, legal experts, and city representatives—walking away with valuable insights and resources to help navigate their housing journeys with confidence.

As a CRA, we remain deeply committed to creating opportunities that strengthen our community. Supporting initiatives like the Housing Fair allows us to continue advancing access to critical housing information and resources that help residents make informed decisions for themselves and their families.

We thank Councilwoman Estimé-Irvin and all participating partners for their leadership and collaboration in making this event a meaningful success for the North Miami community.
