🏡 Did you know? In 2025, the North Miami CRA completed 20 residential improvement projects—investing approximately $600,000 to enhance housing quality and strengthen neighborhood stability.

The energy inside the Joe Celestin Center on Friday, May 1, 2026, was undeniable as community leaders, stakeholders, and visionaries gathered for the NW 7th Avenue Cultural Arts & Innovation Overlay District Symposium—an impactful convening focused on shaping the future of one of North Miami’s most promising corridors.

Presented by Pierre Frantz Charles, M.Ed., CRA Board Member, the symposium set the tone for a purposeful and forward-looking dialogue centered on the intersection of culture, community, and commerce. His leadership in bringing this conversation to the forefront underscored a deep commitment to ensuring that redevelopment along NW 7th Avenue is both inclusive and transformative.

From the moment doors opened, attendees were immersed in a forward-thinking exchange of ideas. The symposium successfully brought together a diverse cross-section of voices—developers, creatives, policymakers, and residents—all aligned around a shared vision: elevating the NW 7th Avenue corridor into a vibrant hub for cultural expression and economic growth.
