Thank you to Regions Bank for hosting a series of financial literacy workshops at Project GOLD, Kristi House’s program for youth at risk of or experiencing s*x trafficking. These sessions equip young people with practical tools and knowledge to build confidence, independence, and a stronger path forward.

This June, Kristi House is hosting a three-part, virtual, Lunch & Learn series rooted in the One Love Foundation curriculum, using powerful storytelling to spark conversations about wellbeing, relationships, and the pressures men face in everyday life. Sessions take place Tuesdays at noon.

Human trafficking doesn't always look the way people expect. In South Florida, traffickers may exploit environments tied to tourism, nightlife, luxury lifestyles, and boating. As we enter events like Miami Swim Week, teens and young adults may be targeted with promises of modeling opportunities, exclusive events, money, status, or connections. Awareness is one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent exploitation before it occurs.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to join the women’s group at First Church of Hollywood for a meaningful conversation on human trafficking awareness and prevention. This connection began earlier this year at the Three Sons Brewing event, where members of the church community connected with Kristi House and later invited our team to speak.

Along with a donation that will support our upcoming Project GOLD Summer Bash kickoff event, the group also collected snacks and much-needed supplies for the youth we serve through Project GOLD.

Throughout the year, Kristi House Prevention Education and Project GOLD team members conduct outreach focused on raising awareness of human trafficking, sharing resources and connecting with community members about prevention, safety, and support services available for youth.

Most child s*xual abuse is not committed by strangers. In fact, up to 93% is committed by someone the child knows and trusts.

Prevention starts with education, awareness, and honest conversations. Knowing the signs can help stop abuse before it happens.

Kristi House educates to prevent child s*xual abuse, advocates for children, supports healing, and mobilizes our community to protect kids and youth.

Strong communities are built by people who show up for one another.

The Kristi House Coalition is a group of leaders committed to protecting children, supporting families, and setting the standard for care and accountability in our community.

These men use their voices, influence, and example to make one thing clear. Abuse will not be tolerated here.
