This week, Officer Elise Ramjohn was officially sworn in as the newest member of our police family. We are grateful for your commitment to serving and protecting our community!

The Sunny Isles Beach Police Department will be joining law enforcement agencies nationwide for the annual “Click It or Ticket” campaign. From May 18 - May 31, officers will conduct heightened seat belt enforcement throughout the city.

Seat belts save lives. Before driving off, make sure you and everyone in your vehicle are properly buckled up every trip, every time.

Last week, our officers joined students from NSE/SIB K-8 School for our annual Bike to School Day. A big thanks to the University of Miami's UHealth BikeSafe program for donating free helmets to keep riders safe and stylish. Thank you to all who participated!

As we celebrate safe riding, remember: new motorized scooter ordinance requirements take effect June 1. Riders must be 16+ and carry a government-issued ID. Learn more at sibfl.gov/scootsafe.

It's National Police Week. This week, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and commitment of law enforcement officers across the country and remember those who have given their lives in the line of duty to protect others.

Tuesday, the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department joined other local agencies for the annual Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Prayer Breakfast. The event pays tribute to all fallen law enforcement officers in Miami-Dade County.

Bike to school with us! Join the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department on Wednesday, May 6, for a community bike ride to Norman S. Edelcup/Sunny Isles Beach K-8.

We’ll meet at Senator Gwen Margolis Park at 7 AM, with the ride rolling out at 7:45 AM.

All participants must wear a properly fitted helmet, bring a bicycle only (no e-bikes or scooters), and pre-register in advance.
