Today, we officially launched a partnership with Miami-Dade County and American Airlines to mark the U.S. 250th anniversary with an exciting new art contest. 🎨✈️ Residents of all ages can submit original artwork based on the theme, "We Are America: Miami's Role in the Nation's Story." Whether your art highlights our diverse cultures, rich history, or shared future, we want to see your interpretation of how Miami influences the American story. Selected artworks will be displayed at MIA, and winners will receive fantastic prizes from American Airlines!

We have a LOT of reasons to be celebrating! Today marks 7 years of connecting Miami to Warsaw on LOT Polish Airlines.

Today, at 10:00 a.m., N.W. 20th Street between MacLaughlin Drive and MIA will be permanently closed to support the construction of the new Concourse K. This means that you won't be able to use N.W. 20th Street to enter or exit the airport anymore. We encourage everyone to plan ahead and use alternate routes to reach the MIA South Bus Station and other parts of the airport. Remember to follow detour signs and give yourself a little extra time for your travels. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make .

Our partners at the Miami Dade Sheriff’s Office have given the all clear and airport operations will return to normal. Passengers may still encounter some traffic entering the airport and some delays at the TSA checkpoints in the North and Central Terminals.
The safety of our passengers and employees continues to remain our top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

We are working with our partners at the Miami Dade Sheriff’s Office regarding a potential security threat at MIA. Out of an abundance of caution, portions of the North and Central Terminals prior to the security checkpoints have been temporarily evacuated.
This situation is also impacting vehicle traffic entering the airport and causing delays on both the arrivals and departures levels.
The safety of our employees and passengers remains our top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Tonight, Inter Miami CF will play at Miami Freedom Park’s Nu Stadium near MIA. As the community gathers to watch, expect increased traffic along Le Jeune Rd. and Douglas Rd., especially near airport entrances and exits from 4–11 p.m. Airport travelers—passengers, visitors, and employees—should plan ahead and allow extra time when traveling to or from MIA. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
