Senior Programming at The Event Center of Middletown

10/22/2026

Good Morning Everyone,

We apologize for the short notice, but all senior programming at The Event Center has been canceled for today, Thursday, October 22.

We were just informed by the Public Works Department that, due to the cooler temperatures, the parking lot striping will not be fully dry by noon as originally anticipated. Unfortunately, this means the parking lot will not be available for use today.

While we understand this is an inconvenience, we want to ensure that Public Works has the time needed to safely and successfully complete the parking lot striping.

We kindly ask that you help us spread the word! If you know someone who regularly attends our senior programs on Thursday but may not check their email, please give them a call or pass along this information. We want to make sure everyone is aware of today's cancellation before making the trip to The Event Center.

Again, we sincerely apologize for the last-minute notice. We were just made aware of this delay and wanted to communicate the update to everyone as quickly as possible.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and cooperation!

We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday!

Attention Middletown Residents: On the morning of Saturday, October 10, Middletown first responders will conduct a large-scale training exercise at Towne Mall.

This training is designed to improve coordinated emergency response efforts among the Middletown Division of Police, Fire Department, EMS, CareFlight and neighboring agencies.

Residents may notice a large presence of first responders at Towne Mall, as well as volunteer actors portraying victims as part of the exercise. These activities are all part of the planned training scenario.

Please be advised that there is not an actual emergency at Towne Mall on Saturday morning. We appreciate your understanding as our first responders participate in this important training opportunity.
