Welcome to Annie’s Sunflower Patch. This patch is located right here in Ray County on the Dreves Family Farm. This acreage has been in the Dreves Family for over 150 years. The land was purchased by German immigrants as they sought freedom and opportunity in this great country. We wanted to be able to share this property with the public as a Missouri Agritourism Site. We welcome and encourage you to bring your family and friends to enjoy this quiet piece of countryside in rural Ray County. There is no admission fee, but donations are welcome to help with the maintenance of the patch so we can continue the patch for years to come. There will be photo props on site and food trucks from time to time, which we will try to post updates on.
You might be wondering how we came up with the name Annie’s Sunflowers. Annie is a 12-year-old member of the family. In her free time, she likes to scope out the farm ground chasing animals to guard her precious sunflowers. Other times she may be taking a break and eating her favorite food and watching people enjoying the scenery. Annie may be on site as well. If you see Annie, give her a wave. We love our grand dog enough to name the patch after her.
A special thanks to the Ronnie Russell Family!!!! They have been instrumental with their wisdom and guidance during this adventure. If you visited the Russell patch in the previous years, we are about 2 ½ miles east of there. Thank you, Ronnie and Family, we hope we can do it justice.
