New businesses are popping up all over Minneapolis, and D’s Kitchen in Northeast is one of the latest.

They’re serving up smash burgers and other fantastic food that’s absolutely worth the stop.

If you’re in the neighborhood, swing by and welcome them to Minneapolis!

The community solar garden at the Eastside Maintenance Facility is putting city space to better use, expanding access to clean energy and helping qualifying households lower their electric bills.

This is what real climate action looks like.

While some work to restrict access to the ballot, Minneapolis is expanding it.

More early voting locations. Longer hours. More ways to cast your ballot.

We’re making it easier for every eligible voter to make their voice heard.

In Minneapolis, we love our Somali neighbors, and we will always stand up for them.

Make sure to stop by 24 Somali Mall and other locally owned Somali businesses and show them some love right now.

This office oversees mental health response, violence prevention, and police reform.

Eliminating it with no plan, while also proposing cuts to the police department, puts critical public safety services at risk.

That’s not a serious public safety proposal.

The Minneapolis City Council proposed cutting the Office of Community Safety, which was created by Mayor Jacob Frey after calls for a new approach to public safety in the wake of George Floyd’s killing by police.

Want to keep rents down? Keep building homes.

Proud to break ground on 931 Marshall, where two single-family homes are becoming 89 new homes in NE Minneapolis, with seven affordable units at 60% AMI.

More supply means more options, more competition, and less pressure on rents.

A year ago, we turned on traffic safety cameras at five of our most dangerous spots.

Speeding is down at every location, and the most dangerous speeding has dropped 68%.

We're building on this and other safety measures to reach our goal: zero traffic deaths in Minneapolis.

Cameras operated at five intersections. More locations could be added in 2027 if the city budget allows.

We started Indigenous Peoples’ Day at Bde Maka Ska with this morning’s sunrise ceremony.

Minneapolis is stronger because of our Indigenous communities, their leadership, culture, and deep connection to this land.

Indigenous history is Minneapolis history.

We kicked off Minneapolis Amplified at Uncle Franky’s, and the place was packed.

The idea is simple: bring live music into neighborhood businesses, get more people through the door, and give people another reason to explore Minneapolis.

And we’re just getting started.

I’m proud to nominate Bill Peterson as the next Chief of the Minneapolis Police Department.

Bill has served this city for 30 years, led through some of our toughest moments, and earned trust across MPD and our community.

He knows this city. He’s ready to lead.
