It has been 273 days since I started my campaign for the Penn Township Advisory Board, and today is the last day, Election Day!
I have spent about $1,000 of my own money, sent out over 2,000 postcards, placed 100 yard signs, sent 200 letters, knocked 800 doors, attended 30 community events, and spoke to hundreds of Penn Township residents. All in all, I have put about 400 hours into the campaign.
This campaign was not just a one man show, I have had help from the entire community with thousands of dollars in donations, dozens of people liking and sharing my Facebook posts, the graphic designs by my friends, family and friends talking to people about my candidacy, major endorsements from community leaders, and most importantly, 2,562 votes in the primary.
My campaign has never been about me, it has been about ending the lack of Mishawaka representation (Mishawaka makes up 75% of the population of Penn Township and only has 33% of the seats) and modernizing the government infrastructure of the township so we can help the residents of Mishawaka, Osceola, and the rest of Penn Township.
Since my time on the Mishawaka Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council, I learned that local government is the bedrock that all other forms of government rely on. If Penn Township is not constantly innovating and proactive like the City of Mishawaka, then we are doing the people a disservice.
That is why I am asking for your vote today if you have not voted yet. As South Bend Police Chief, Scott Ruszkowski says, "Vote Lange for Change."
Remember to manually select the Penn Township Advisory Board race as it DOES NOT APPLY TO STRAIGHT TICKET VOTING. My name, Joshua David Lange, is at the top of the selection. Thank you to everyone for supporting my campaign and God bless!
