🗑️ ATTENTION, MISSION RESIDENTS

The City of Mission has updated its ordinance on residential garbage containers. Residents must remove their containers from the street within 24 hours after collection and store them properly.

Prompt removal helps keep our neighborhoods clean while keeping streets and sidewalks clear. It also reduces the risk of containers being lost, damaged or displaced during high winds or severe weather.

Thank you for helping keep Mission beautiful!

Today, Keep Mission Beautiful joined the Keep Texas Beautiful Town Hall to hear important updates, connect with fellow affiliates and learn more about what’s ahead for the statewide network.

With several changes coming to Keep Texas Beautiful and its affiliate program, today’s conversation provided valuable insight into how we can better align our local efforts with statewide goals, strengthen our programming and continue measuring the impact of the work we do here in Mission.

Since becoming an affiliate in 2023, Keep Mission Beautiful has continued to grow its focus on beautification, environmental stewardship, volunteer engagement and community pride. As a 2026 Silver Star Affiliate, we’re looking forward to adapting alongside Keep Texas Beautiful and identifying new ways to make our initiatives even more meaningful and impactful.

There’s plenty of work ahead, and we’re ready to keep Mission moving toward a cleaner, greener and more beautiful future.

A brighter park makes for a more beautiful Mission. 💡🌳

CWV Park is shining brighter with 18 new solar-powered lights along the trail, improving visibility and creating a more welcoming space for our community to walk, exercise and enjoy the outdoors into the evening.

Supported through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and made possible with Fonroche Lighting America, this investment is about more than lighting a trail, it’s about creating safe, welcoming and well-cared-for spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Because keeping Mission beautiful means investing in the places that bring our community together.

School is back in session, and keeping Mission beautiful is something we can all be part of.

As students and families settle into a new school year, let’s do our part to keep our campuses, sidewalks, parks and neighborhoods clean and litter-free.

Small actions make a big difference. Pick it up. Throw it away. Take pride in the community we call home.

Congratulations to the City of Mission and the Mission EDC on the groundbreaking of ZERLUMA's new $50 million aluminum recycling and manufacturing facility.

This investment represents more than economic growth, it reflects a commitment to sustainability, innovation, and a cleaner future for our community. By transforming recycled aluminum into new products, this facility will help conserve resources while creating quality jobs and strengthening Mission's economy.

Thank you to ZERLUMA for choosing to invest in Mission and for helping build a more sustainable future for generations to come.
