🍀 Our first 4-H Cloverbud meeting of the year was full of stories, creativity, and fun! We were so excited to welcome back our returning Cloverbuds and meet so many new friends!

Tonight, we read Little Red and BIG, BAD FRED by West Virginia author and illustrator Ashley Belote as part of West Virginia Public Broadcasting’s Mountain Readers initiative! 📖🐺 Mountain Readers celebrates a love of reading among West Virginia children and helps inspire tomorrow’s leaders.

Our Cloverbuds also put their creativity to work building traps and enjoyed a Little Red Riding Hood–themed snack!

A big thank-you to our teen and adult volunteers for helping make the evening possible. We’re excited for a wonderful year of learning and growing together! 💚

🍀 Our Ponetown Pigs 4-H Club kicked off the new 4-H year on Monday with their first meeting! It was wonderful to welcome both returning and new members for an evening of fun and teamwork.

Members tackled STEM challenges, working together to “Save Fred” and build a tower strong enough to hold a water bottle! 🐷🔬

We’re excited for a new year full of learning, friendships, and 4-H adventures! 💚

🍀🦅 What a fun-filled afternoon with our Mason Dixon Eagles 4-H Club!

We had 27 kids join us for today’s afterschool meeting! We learned the 4-H pledge and what the four H’s stand for—Head, Heart, Hands, and Health—then put our creativity to work making straw rockets and gliders. 🚀 We also enjoyed some playground time with our friends!

We had so much fun and can’t wait to see everyone at our November meeting! 💚

Last week, members of our Monongalia County Community Educational Outreach Service (CEOS) traveled to attend the annual WV CEOS Conference!

CEOS is a WVU Extension-supported membership organization open to the public that focuses on lifelong learning, member education, community service, and making a positive difference in our communities.

We are so proud of our Monongalia County delegation and their dedication to learning, serving, and connecting with others across the state! ❤️

We hope everyone had the BEST time at the conference, enjoyed catching up with old friends, made some new ones, and returned home with wonderful memories and fresh ideas!

Thank you for all you do for Monongalia County and beyond! 🍀

🍀💚 It’s Thankful Thursday during National 4-H Week!

We are thankful for the many people who help shape Monongalia County 4-H! Today, we’re giving a special shout-out to our volunteer camp staff, pictured here, who give their time, energy, and hearts to make summer camp a safe, fun, educational, and unforgettable experience for our campers.

From leading activities and encouraging campers to working behind the scenes, these volunteers help create friendships, build confidence, and make memories that last a lifetime. Thank you for showing up for our youth and making camp so special! 💚
