Ever feel like you need a law degree just to figure out where your tax dollars are going? 🏛️💰

Most of us see "millages" on our local ballots or tax bills and just guess what they mean. But these decisions directly fund our local schools, parks, roads, and public safety. Your voice matters, and you deserve to know exactly how the system works—minus the complicated political jargon.

Join us for Local Govt. 101 & The Mystery of the Millage, a casual, free community workshop designed to break down the basics in plain English.

We’ll be covering:

The Basics: Who actually runs what in our city and county.
The Math: What a millage actually calculates to in real dollars and how it impacts your neighborhood.
The Ballot: How to read local proposals so you can make informed choices when you vote.

Bring your questions! We’ll bring the answers (and the snacks). 🥨🥤

🗓️ WHEN: Saturday, July 18 | 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
📍 WHERE: Access Health (1200 Ransom St., Muskegon)
🎙️ GUEST SPEAKER: Muskegon City Commissioner Jay Kilgo

This session is completely FREE and open to all residents. No registration required—just show up and bring a neighbor!
