It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our mother, Diane DeFilipi, passed away unexpectedly last week. We have tried to reach out personally to as many people as we possibly could and apologize to those we couldn’t connect with.
For the past year, she had privately endured treatment for multiple myeloma and related health challenges but faced it bravely. In the end, her heart just wasn't strong enough.
If you feel moved to do so, in lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Our mom was a constant supporter of their generous cause and would love to know that her friends and family continued to donate in her honor.
We have so many wonderful memories we will hold onto that will help provide us some comfort. Those who were lucky enough to taste it would know, but our mom made the best stuffing around. We promise to keep the family recipe as a staple of our holiday meals and try to do it justice. We hope our valiant attempts will make her proud.
