Last summer we opened up our Junior Ranger program for one day to The Adults, and they, and we, had so much fun that we plan to do it again. So, if you’re tired of all the adulting in your life, join us for a hike and some creek exploration that might just make you feel like you’re six or seven years old again.

This hike is designed for little legs so it’s an easy stroll with plenty of time at Ritchey Creek to learn more about the natural world. We’ve advertised it enough for you to know we aren’t kidding and are in fact serious about this *adults only* event.

If all that sounds good, come join us for the activities, say the pledge, and earn your young at heart badge.

Our wild neighbors are out and about this spring on the trail!

Our game cameras on Mt Veeder picked up some excellent shots of the neighborhood’s felines out for a hike as well as a parade of other neighbors. Like many NOSD parks and properties, this one serves an important function as part of a wildlife corridor on Mt Veeder, letting wildlife travel freely.
