A+s for all that attended, brought fun, brought smiles, brought dice, watermelon kegs, lightsabers, mixed drinks, bottles & jars for camping, beer cans & margaritas for tubing, brought music & dancing & conversation- and then got theirs asses up, cleaned up our morning mess, and caravanned through the heat and the hangover to face the mighty Sacramento River.
A++ for Chef Christian, for once again overdelivering on every expectation of dinner (and breakfast!). The NVTS is lucky to count such skilled and generous people as members, and there's no better example than Christian.
A++ for Jessica, Poet Laureate #4, for sounding the timbre of our bounteous harmonics, and unifying our spirit at the river bank.
A++ for Jerod and Tom for plotting and planning and making sure it all gets done- for caring as much about everybody else's time as their own.
The NVTS Second Expedition 2017, Expert Camping Edition goes into the books as our finest expedition yet. Congratulations to all that were there- and we hope to see y'all again real soon!

Time to fish or cut bait NVTSers!
Here's your TO DO list for Saturday-
1) Check "Going" on the FB Event. It's important that we have a head count, and thus the right amount of camping spaces.
2) If you haven't hit up Jerod with some camping/food $s (or at least a plan to get him some $s) chop chop! A couple people asked about Venmo, here's that account-
3) Check in on your tube status. Everybody that's currently RSVPed, and has a regular tube with us is covered. If you're not sure, ask Adam- 612-309-3306
AND, Chef wanted to let you all know that the good good cookout won't necessarily be Paella, but it'll be DELICIOUS, and there'll be options (guess there were a few seafood allergies)
We'll be posting some final directions and contact info Friday night- Please make sure you're RSVPed by then, or we won't have you covered.

UPDATED! WE HAVE POSTPONED TOMORROWS EVENT DUE TO S**T WEATHER! WE WILL NOT BE FLOATING TOMORROW, SUNDAY THE 11TH. Temperatures are estimated to be in the low sixties with high wind and possible showers. Upon hearing this news, the NVTS High Council convened and made the decision to postpone the campaign. In the subsequent press conference that just wrapped up on NPR, Adam McClary quoted Albert Camus saying, "Basically, at the very bottom of life, which seduces us all, there is only absurdity, and more absurdity. And maybe that's what gives us our joy for living, because the only thing that can defeat absurdity is a sunless day of tubin'."
NVTS Member Sam Rababananawitz suggested we push the date to SUNDAY the 18th- "The weather will be in the 90's," she was said to remark. And so the High Council voted to make it so. WE SHALL FLOAT NEXT SUNDAY THE 18TH. The framework of tomorrows cancelled event now applies to next Sunday. There will be a new FB Event created so that we can re-RSVP and re-assign tubes. Thank you for your patience, HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL ON SUNDAY THE 18TH!
