Wednesday, October 7 is Walk and Roll to School Day in Napa County led by the Napa County Safe Routes to School Program! Walk and Roll to School Day encourages students to walk, bike, or roll to school as part of an active lifestyle. Participating schools will be hosting welcome tables on the morning of WRSD where students who walk, bike, or roll to school can pick up free goodies to celebrate their active choice. Head to napabike.org/wrsd for more information and a list of participating schools.

El miércoles 7 de octubre es el Día de Caminar y Rodar a la Escuela (WRSD) en el Condado de Napa, organizado por el Programa de Rutas Seguras a la Escuela del Condado de Napa. El Día de Caminar y Rodar a la Escuela promueve a los estudiantes a caminar, andar en bicicleta o rodar a la escuela como parte de una vida activa. Las escuelas que participan organizarán mesas en la mañana de WRSD donde los estudiantes que caminen, anden en bicicleta o rueden a la escuela pueden recoger premios gratuitos para celebrar su vida activa. This event will take place at 1738 Jefferson Street, Napa from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, September 19, 2026. It's been fun walking around the city neighborhoods in my district to invite folks to the Open House at McPherson today at 6pm. I wanted to share some of the colorful decor and welcome mats I encountered during my walks. I hope to see you this evening. Stay cool and drink lots of water!
