It’s always nice to visit with old friends at the Mahoning School Memories Reunion at the St Marguerite Society Hall in Mahoningtown! Thank you to Madeline Nuzzo and her committee for always putting on such a nice event! Delicious food by the Farone Brothers, great music by the Dante DiThomas Band and a cookie table that can’t be beat!

I was proud to represent Lawrence County and the Commissioners at the 2026 Pittsburgh Region DC Fly-In at the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C.! The gathering brought together leaders from government, business and non profit organizations to advocate for federal priorities and investment in our region. I had an opportunity to speak with Brian Hoover, President of local New Castle Company, North American Forgemaster. Mr. Hoover was one of the presenters at the forum! I also had a chance to visit with my former House Colleague Matt Smith who now leads the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and SPC Executive Director Rich Fitzgerald!

Today, I joined leaders from across Southwestern Pennsylvania in Washington, DC, for the welcome event of the 2026 Pittsburgh Region Fly-In at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center.

The gathering brings together leaders from government, business, education and nonprofit organizations to advocate for federal priorities and investment in our region. For me, that means keeping the needs of Lawrence County’s residents, businesses and communities part of the conversation.

The work of creating opportunities at home often takes us beyond our county borders. Building relationships and working with our regional partners helps us make a stronger case for the support our communities need.
