Help us help you by clearing snow and ice around the hydrant on your property. In the event of an emergency where we need to use a hydrant, this saves valuable time when hooking up the hose to the hydrant.
Remember, during the storm, if you have an emergency, do not wait—call 911.

This September 24th, we will honor the 50th anniversary of the line-of-duty death of Firefighter Kevin Landau. To preserve his memory, the New City Fire Engine Company No. 1 established the Kevin Landau Memorial Scholarship, which has been awarded each year for the past five decades to a graduating senior from Clarkstown North High School.
As we prepare for this important milestone, we are hoping to reconnect with past scholarship recipients to include them in our commemorative plans. While we have a complete list of recipients, many have moved or changed their names through marriage.
If you are a past recipient—or know someone who received the Kevin Landau Memorial Scholarship—we kindly ask that you reach out to us via Facebook Messenger or email us at [email protected] with updated contact information.
We thank you in advance for your support. Please mark your calendars: we will be honoring Kevin’s life and legacy on Wednesday, September 24th with a memorial Mass at St. Augustine Church in NewCity followed by dedication ceremonies at Fireman Kevin Landau Park. Stay tuned to our page for more details about the day’s events.
