I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to bring my boys to the Memorial Day Program, hosted by the Friends of Mount Moor Cemetery, Buffalo Soldiers of Rockland County, Nyack NAACP, Spring Valley NAACP, and Town of Clarkstown — and for my boys to learn a snapshot of the history of Mount Moor Cemetery and those who lay to rest there.

Thank you to the organizing groups and all those who played a role in this beautiful remembrance ceremony — particularly my friend, Bill Batson, President of the Friends of Mount Moor Cemetery.

Most importantly, I thank the service men and women for bravely putting your life on the line for our nation and I thank those who made the ultimate sacrifice and their families.

We remember and honor all those who gave their lives in service to our country and freedoms. We are forever indebted to them.
