Got lots done with the help of Mette Rossi's awesome scout group (and friends) last week! Come join us this Sunday, June 7 at 1pm for some more mulching, weeding, and planting. Also check out the beautiful natives blooming in the garden including, Virginia spiderwort, penstemon, and iris. And yes, that's a pawpaw tree growing behind us! Park near intersection of Vine and West Broadway in Central Nyack. Bring long sleeves, gloves, and shovels. We also have extra tools and gloves to share!— with Neal Harris and

More Recess — Screens In Schools 05/19/2026

Nyack school district people! Please get out and vote today! There’s a lot of good conversation about cutting down on screen time which I very much appreciate! I remember my kids being forced to watch videos at recess at Valley Cottage Elementary and a group of us parents were fighting to allow our kids to play outside! We had even gathered donated warm coats for those who didn’t have them. Please check out the candidates answers and come out and vote today.

More Recess — Screens In Schools Nyack parents advocating for responsible, age-appropriate, data-informed technology policy in our schools. Vote May 19th.
