Our assisted living communities in the Metairie area provide 24 hour care and supervision to seniors who may no longer be able to safely live at home, but do not require or prefer more institutional settings. We offer comfort, compassion, and choice as we fulfill the special needs and requirements that are unique to seniors. Our caregivers are trained to serve residents with Alzheimer’s and related dementia care needs.

And the benefits go from head to toe! 🥰 Bowling encourages movement, improves hand-eye coordination, supports balance and flexibility, keeps the mind engaged, and brings everyone together for a little social fun.

At Peristyle Residences, our residents love spending time outdoors tending to the gardens and enjoying the simple pleasure of being surrounded by nature.

Gardening is more than an enjoyable pastime. For seniors, it can encourage gentle movement, support dexterity, provide a sense of purpose and accomplishment, and offer a calming way to stay engaged with the natural world. And, of course, there’s the satisfaction of watching all that care turn into new blooms!

A little cooler weather means more time enjoying the outdoors at Peristyle Residences. ☀️🌿

There’s something wonderful about slowing down and simply taking in the day… watching a sunrise or sunset, listening to the birds, feeling the breeze, and noticing the trees and flowers change with the seasons.

For our residents, time outdoors isn’t just enjoyable, it’s part of healthy living. Natural daylight can help support a healthy sleep-wake cycle, while safe sun exposure can contribute to vitamin D production. And sometimes, a little fresh air and sunshine is simply good for the spirit.

At Peristyle, we believe the little things matter. A comfortable chair, a beautiful day, good company, and a few quiet moments with Mother Nature can make for a pretty wonderful afternoon.
