NYS Courts Explorer Post 8500 had the honor of marching with the NYS Courts Asian Jade Society during the 28th Annual NYC Lunar New Year Parade on March 1st.

It was an incredible experience celebrating culture, community, and tradition alongside so many amazing participants and spectators. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a vibrant event and proud to support and celebrate the Lunar New Year with the NYC community.

The New York State Courts had a great time attending the Build Your Future for Young Men community event on Monday, January 19, 2026! Big thanks to the 105th Precinct for hosting an inspiring and empowering experience for our young men.

New York State Courts Explorers Post #8500 is starting the year off right by stepping up and supporting the Brownsville, Brooklyn community during a food pantry distribution on Saturday, January 17. Despite inclement weather and snowfall, these dedicated youth showed up ready to serve.

A huge thank you to Rewrite Community Food Pantry for allowing us to contribute to this meaningful event serving families in need. We are grateful for young leaders like you who show compassion through action—no matter the conditions. Together, we are building a stronger community! 💙

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the New York State Court Explorers Post 8500 proudly celebrated our first-ever Explorers Graduation! We are immensely proud of the outstanding young men and women who completed the program, demonstrating incredible dedication, discipline, and heart. Their hard work has laid a strong foundation, not just for themselves, but for the future of our Post. This milestone marks only the beginning. We are excited to continue this journey and look forward to kicking off another impactful year. LET’S GO, POST 8500! A heartfelt thank you to Chief Magliano for your constant support, leadership, and guidance.

Aug 6, 2025 - Explorers VIP Day held at Fordham University.

Representing the NYS Courts Explorers Post 8500 were Chief Magliano, Captain Sinclair, Captain Herrera, Sergeant LaBosco, Explorer Leysan Khasanova, and Explorer Kaylen Cho.

This marks the first year that the New York State Courts have officially participated in the Law Enforcement Exploring Program, making today’s event particularly meaningful.
