A great group in Rhode Island! Led by their executive Director, Darlene!

We are so proud to announce that Adoption Rhode Island has been awarded the Aging Out 2025 Phoenix Youth Impact Award, receiving $90,000 from the in recognition of our organization’s transformational work supporting youth transitioning out of foster care.

The $90,000 award will be used to support the critical work of keeping youth leaving foster care from homelessness, including some direct assistance to help with reaching education, career and life goals.

ARI CEO Darlene Allen stated, “We are both thrilled and humbled by this recognition. The funding will allow us to continue to stand up and speak out for foster youth as well as provide resources to assist former foster youth with higher education access. “

Thank you so much to the peer reviewed panel and the RightWay Foundation for choosing us this year as the most deserving of this prestigious award!

Please welcome the Children’s Corps Summer Class of 2024! During July, corps members learned from current members and alumni, spent time in the community, and shadowed at their agency. They were curious, adaptable, courageous, and persistent. We can’t wait to witness the magic they create alongside their families over the next two years and beyond!

Workers who make the extra effort to engage, connect, and advocate can make the positive difference for families impacted by child welfare. At Children's Corps, we want to make sure that every family has someone on their team who will support them 100%
