Good Afternoon,
It is with great pride that the Baychester (Bay Eden) COVID-19 Vaccination Site announces the administration of its 100,000th shot to Mr. Horace Green, 59, of the Bronx, NY. Mr. Green received his second dose of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine at 4:42pm on Thursday, February 10th 2022.
As always, our sincere thanks goes out to the New York State Department of Health, New York State Police, New York National Guard, New York Naval Militia, SOMOS, EMTs and all the on-site agency representatives who made today’s milestone possible after just 315 days of operations.
Lastly, our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the community and people of New York for their support and cooperation.

Beginning today, the Baychester (Bay Eden) Vaccination Site will be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
We will still be opened on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with modified hours or operation.
Thursdays: 3pm to 7pm
Fridays: 3pm to 7pm
Saturdays: 8am to 7pm
Sundays: 8am to 7pm

As of February 2, 2022, more than 88 million people across the United States have received a COVID-19 booster dose. However, 50% of people eligible for a booster dose have yet to get theirs. Everyone ages 5+ years is eligible for a free COVID-19 vaccine, and everyone ages 12+ years is eligible for a free COVID-19 booster shot. This week CDC updated several recommendations for people who received Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID19 vaccine.
1) People ages 5 years and older with moderately to severely weakened immune systems should get an additional dose of vaccine 28 days after their 2nd shot.
2) People who received a Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for their primary series can now get an mRNA booster shot 5 months after they complete their series.
3) Everyone ages 12 years and older should now get a booster shot.
