This week our cadets had an exciting Wednesday learning about police K9s from Sgt. Brangi and K9 Kip from the Wallingford PD! đđ K9 Kip is trained in narcotics detection, evidence recovery, and tracking, and has worked in the field since 2024.
A huge thank you to for taking the time to come down and teach our cadets, they had a blast!

This past weekend our cadets along with the Cheshire Police Department teamed up with the Cheshire Fire Department to host a toy drive at Marshallâs. Cheshire came out and showed their Christmas spirit, gifting 18 trash bags full of toys to be distributed to Yale New Haven Hospital, Connecticutâs domestic violence shelters, along with a few others. Our cadets had a blast and were even joined by Santa on a ladder truck! We want to give a big shoutout to all of those who donated. We canât wait to see you all again next year!
Happy holidays from the Cheshire Police Cadets! đ

A huge thank you to the Cheshire community for your incredible generosity!
Yesterdayâs Coin Drop for Special Olympics Connecticut was a great success thanks to all of you! Our Cheshire Police Officers, with support from the Cheshire Police Cadets, spent the afternoon collecting donations to benefit Special Olympics and its amazing athletes.
Weâre grateful to everyone who contributed, and for your patience driving through the drop zone!

Last Saturday, the Cheshire Police Cadets, along with several of our officers, delivered 80 turkeys and 150 pounds of potatoes to our community for Thanksgiving!
The day started by escorting a Hometown Foundation Inc. tractor trailer full of food from Bozzuto's Inc. in Cheshire to Wilbur Cross in New Haven, where Hometown distributed hundreds of turkeys to representatives from area agencies and organizations. The Cadets loaded up their share and set off to deliver the goods!
First stop - Masters Manna Inc. Food Pantry & Resource Center in Wallingford; which provides services to Cheshire residents, then the Cheshire Community Food Pantry, Inc. (thank you St. Bridget church for coordinating), and finally the Franciscan Life Center Campus.
Not only did the Cadets make Thanksgiving Day dinner possible for our community, they built long-lasting relationships with Cheshire, learned about the importance of Community Policing, and made memories that they won't soon forget!
We wish you a happy Thanksgiving from the Cheshire Police Cadets!

The cadets had a blast this Wednesday as we held a surprise party for our departing and beloved advisor, Officer Caulfield, who will unfortunately be on deployment for the next year. Officer Caulfield has been a loved and dedicated advisor this past year, leaving a positive impact on all our cadets. Weâll miss you and we canât wait to see you next year!
We were also joined by interested high schoolers who learned of our program through the CHS club fair. They enjoyed their time at the meeting and we expect to see them back soon!
Following the party, Officer Caulfield brought our prospect and current cadets on a tour around the police station to end off the night.
If you or anyone you know is interested in joining or just checking us out for a meeting, make sure to send us a message; weâre always looking for new cadets.
