Factoring + Mad Libs in Algebra 1!
In Ms. Goldstein’s and Ms. Klepacki’s Algebra 1 class, students combined collaboration, movement, and problem-solving during a Factoring Math Libs activity! Students worked in small groups of 2–3 to factor quadratics using a variety of factoring strategies to uncover the correct words and phrases needed to complete a silly Mad Libs story.

Using vertical learning spaces, students explained their thinking, checked each other’s work, and practiced multiple factoring methods in a fun, engaging way. A classroom full of math conversations, teamwork, and laughter! 🧮✏️

Ms. De La Rosa’s Science Elective, composed of seniors, visited the American Museum of Natural History. They explored two special exhibits: the Butterfly Vivarium and Encounters in the Milky Way. The excitement throughout the trip was unforgettable. It was a meaningful way for these seniors to celebrate their final year together while deepening their appreciation for science.
