Has anyone in had a bad experience at ? I actually have a safe deposit box but the lock is BROKEN and the supervisor just said “I’m not a locksmith what do you want me to do” and walked away from us to help other costumers. What kind of bank is this?

For my first trip to Nepal I fell in love with the Himalayas. It changed me. It’s the beginning of my lifelong relationship with these mountains. They force you to question what is big in life and what is small.

I’ll be posting some magical places in Portugal over the next few days. Sometimes I look back at the photos and I can’t believe my eyes! This was taken in touristy Sintra, outside Lisboa. But there are actually many places throughout the country like this.

Can’t believe I was hiking and running in luscious snow a month ago. But now this, nearly 100° misery on the East coast. 📸

It got a little cold after this photo was taken (by ) so I had to put on a jacket. The June temperatures in Tahoe were 70s at the warmest but most often 50s and 60s and below freezing at night in the mountains. 🥶 Don’t let these Caribbean colors fool you!

Does this look like a painting? The perfectly smooth rocks, the texture of the water, and the colors makes this shot look fake to me, even though I was there! Getting here was a steep climb down from the road and then back up to the car. Worth it.

While our bodies were acclimating for the Tahoe200 race—sometimes reaching over 9,000 feet—we explored the lake. Here’s tiny Chaiwen paddling the waters, which got a little rough during high winds. The water is so clear it’s much deeper than it looks.

Another shot from beautiful southwest. Camping here in the summer was spectacular…until the sun came out. Then it felt like a furnace. It will be 90° with 100% humidity this weekend in the northeast. I think I would still prefer the dry 100° temperatures from this camping trip. What about you? Dry 100 or humid 90?

Our natural world is truly inspiring. I’m always awestruck by the grandness of earth. Lake Powell is still beautiful although the water has dried up considerably since the first time I visited, 20 years ago. Posting some of my favorite shots for
