I thank Mayor Mamdani and his task force for producing a detailed report on concrete strategies the city intends to pursue to address the growth of antisemitism, rooted in our city's core commitment to protecting all our citizens, regardless of religion. It is crucial that our mayor, as the leader of our government, continues to make clear through words and actions that Jews in New York can express their religious and political beliefs safely, including those who express support for Zionism, without fear of threats, harassment, or violence.

NYSERDA and the PSC are considering a proposal to put ratepayers and taxpayers on the hook for more than $23 billion in subsidies for new nuclear power - and we're unlikely to see a single kW for 15-20 years. This is an unrealistic waste of money when there are real, proven, cheaper, rapidly deployable clean solutions available to us right now.

They argue that taxpayers and ratepayers should not be asked to subsidize new nuclear projects.

As I've said before, the Trump Administration is trying to sell us a dress that we've never seen and don't know the price of. This is not a good deal for New York City, the MTA, or New York taxpayers.
