The Nitty Gritty: Out of an abundance of caution we temporarily closed because a cashier at McEnroe Organic Farm had contact with a family member at an outdoor gathering who tested positive. We are EXTREMELY pleased to report that both of this employee’s serum and swab tests came back NEGATIVE. Additionally, everyone else at the gathering also tested negative. 🥰

As we all know, NY is not yet out of the woods, but this episode shows how important it is for us all to exploit this virus’s weaknesses. And right now, as best we can tell, its Achilles’ heel is the combo of open space, fresh air, and sunshine. And as we encourage our team to get together with friends and family and normalcy, we strongly encourage them to do so responsibly—in the great outdoors.

Additionally, we used this unexpected break for an extensive deep cleaning of both the shack and McEnroe’s market and kitchen.

First the good news: no one on the staff of either Kings Highway Cider or McEnroe Organic Farm has tested positive for COVID-19. Now the bad news: a McEnroe cashier was in contact with a family member at an outdoor family gathering who has tested positive. Out of an abundance of caution we are closing our doors until we obtain the results of the employee’s test. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we hope you understand that we are taking these measures for your safety. Let’s all stay healthy and strong together by taking the appropriate safety precautions to stamp this virus out and keep up all the amazing progress we have seen throughout our tri-state region.
