Congratulations to NYSP Troop C recruiters Trooper James Feldbauer and Investigator Lauren Warner on receiving the American Red Cross Southern Tier Real Heroes Award for their lifesaving actions.
On November 4, 2025, while traveling to a recruitment event, Trooper Feldbauer and Trooper Warner came upon what appeared to be a disabled vehicle. They were informed by the driver that a male was lying face down, partially on the sidewalk and partially in the roadway.
The male was unconscious and not breathing. Without hesitation, they immediately began CPR and utilized an AED until EMS arrived on scene. Due to their quick response and teamwork, the patient survived.
Their actions exemplify the dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving others that define the New York State Police.
