It felt amazing to return to my studio this week and pick up my brushes again.
I'm working on new pieces on paper, canvas and wood for at the end of May.
Stay tuned for updates on what I'll be showing plus some bts studio news.

Happy Spring (vernal) Equinox everyone!
This visual celebration was created 15 years ago and launched my very first collection of tea towels.
What a day to remind myself of personal growth and transformation which nature teaches me daily.

It's a really long and windy road and lately seems pretty bleak tbh but staying committed to my art practice, no matter what, allows for space within the chaos. The power of art, both making and observing, is the ability to imagine and manifest change. I encourage us all to inhabit that idea.

I've been playing with making natural inks from foraged matter and vegetable scraps.
This piece was painted with red soil (rich, iron-oxide), black walnut and onion skins.
My paintings are becoming deeper expressions of my personal connection to nature and I'm learning more about mycelium and the roots beneath the surface.

The endless dance between commissioned work with deadlines and my desire to deeply explore my personal creativity continues.
The abstraction of a painting, reduced to flat color and simple shapes is taking my mind to all sorts of new places.
It's a spontaneous moment, in between the client projects, that sparks a flame and now needs time to build. To be continued.
I'm curious how fellow artists juggle these moments. Please leave a comment.

I can't reveal too much yet but I've started 2026 with a couple of great collaborations.
Think NY institutions with fabulous flora.

There's a blizzard brewing and I can't think of a better way to cozy up inside.
Playing in my sketchbook with rocks, paper, scissors.

The rich textures and shades of Morocco have captured my heart yet again. The kindness, empathy and patience of everyone we met. The rhythms of gnawa, sounds of prayer, delicate flavors of food and so much beautiful art to fill my soul for months.
I feel satiated and ready to embark on some new creative journeys.
Shukran Morocco.
