I'm so proud, excited and quite nervous to launch our very own shop for the next 10 weeks at Bryant Park Experiences since 1972 🎄.
Partnering with my wonderful husband Malik Williams makes this feel lighter and more manageable.
We've hired a wonderful sales team and we look forward to welcoming you to our special Claudia Pearson world.
We're located right opposite cafe Casa Toscana pick up window, open 7 days a week from 9 am - 9 pm.

Don't forget to support small businesses this season and help keep us all in business.

No words today, just listening to, learning from and loving the Palestinian writers, artists, academics and humans who carry the weight of the past 3 years and 78 years.

We're super excited (and quite anxious) to be opening the doors to our very own shop at Bryant Park Urbanspace Markets in just 4 weeks.
We'll be open for 10 weeks and have so many new goodies to share with the world. Stay tuned for lots of updates and behind the scenes stories.
Supporting small businesses starts right here.

My Fall palette of black walnut, sumac, avocado and turmeric; some foraged and some from my kitchen. There is a vibration to these paintings that encapsulate my current mood. A need to ground and yet feel air and lightness move through me.

The layers of creativity over the past few years are revealing this wonderful journey I'm on.
This weekend I plan on foraging for some fall plants to create a new seasonal array of inks.
Nature is determining my palette and I'm so inspired to see where she leads me next.

This summer has been a sublime immersion into the natural world around me.
The practice of walking and swimming combined with foraging, tasting, creating inks from plants and painting provided such a deep sensory experience.
It surprised me if I'm on honest. It cracked open an understanding of the precious world we live in, on a somatic level, feeling it in every sense and pore.
My paintings are an extension of that experience. A palette created with elderberry, black walnut, avocado, nettles, hickory and dock seed.
The plants around me guided the process and the paintings became a journey within.

I'm excited to continue now I'm back in Brooklyn and further explore the seasonal shifts and plants growing around me.
Stay tuned!

Notes from a field in Southwest France.

This past week, as I set my technology aside, I truly slowed down in ways I hadn't in a very long time. The art of practicing complete presence was thoroughly accomplished.
We were at my childhood home for the first time in 8 years. Memories lurking around every corner triggered through color, light and delicate scent.
Landscapes that hadn't changed one iota. Trails through woods teaming with moths and spiders, white chalky paths cutting through nodding sunflowers as far as the eye could see. Picking ripe plums to eat as we walked.
We floated in clear rivers and cobalt iridescent dragonfly alighted on our limbs.

I gathered plants and flowers to create and experiment with making inks. I called the project "a dye a day" - walnut, dock seed, hibiscus, sunflower petals and fig leaf.
Some were more successful than others but the process provided a deeper connection to the land around me.

Here's a selection of my paintings and favorite moments of my trip.

I'm subletting my sunny, vibey studio from July 15th - August 31. It's near the Brooklyn Navy Yard in a shared building with lots of talented and friendly artists. It's really a fantastic community with a shared kitchen.
The rent is $1000 and includes wifi and AC. There are 2 desks so it's possible to share.
Please message me if you're interested and share this with your close community.

This happened today.
The most beautiful celebration for Milo's graduating in a BA Honors in Music Production and Sound Engineering from Point Blank Music School, Middlesex University.
We landed in London at 6am and by noon we were gathered together to mark this occasion.
What absolute joy and deep pride!
