If you've been following me on FB for the last year and some months, you'll know that I've been entering photos into different News12 contest and winning over 30 as of this moment. When I first started posting photos, it was a way to get over a bout of serve depression, but as time went by it has become a great way to get exposure for my photography. While it's always a nerve-wrenching experience hearing the feedback that can be both positive and negative, it has helped me tremendously in learning what I should continue and should learn from.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK (AUGUST 26th - SEPTEMBER 1st)
If you ever go to the Brooklyn Public Library's main branch at Grand Army Plaza, you'll see this eagle towering over you over the entrance way. It is an amazing sight and one that does so unnoticed until you are right underneath it's wings,

These jars have an interesting story. When I first started getting a little bit serious with photography, I friend of mines showed me a point and shoot camera, the Nikon Coolpix L810, that he thought I would like. It was about 200 dollars but I didn't have the money at the time, so I would take all my loose change and put in it into these 2 jars. I did this for maybe 3 or 4 months until both were full with coins and I took the jars to the local coin star that was down the block. The machine robbed about 30 dollars from me, but in the end I still had enough to get the camera. From that moment on, I had it by my side and whenever I saw something during a walkabout around town, I would make sure that I had it handy. Eventually, I started to acquire more advance cameras, but it all started with these 2 jars and having the patience to save for something that I really wanted.
