Supporters of Omoyele Sowore stormed Abuja on Tuesday as the African Action Congress held its presidential primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Videos and photos circulating online showed large crowds of party members and supporters at the venue, sparking reactions on social media over the growing momentum of the AAC and the “Take It Back” movement.
Sowore, who recently confirmed his interest in the 2027 presidential race, had earlier revealed that the party’s primaries would hold this week in Abuja.
The former presidential candidate has remained one of the most vocal critics of the current administration, with supporters describing the rising turnout at AAC events as a sign of increasing youth involvement in alternative politics.

John Mahama Announces Free Online Visa Access for African Travelers Visiting Ghana
President John Mahama has unveiled a new policy allowing all African passport holders traveling to Ghana for business or tourism to apply for visas online at no cost. According to him, the initiative is designed to make travel easier across Africa while still ensuring strong border security and efficient immigration control.
Mahama also disclosed plans to extend simplified travel opportunities to people of African descent around the world. He described the policy as part of Ghana’s continued commitment to Pan-African unity and the vision championed by Kwame Nkrumah.
