Did you know permaculture is the process of observing wild ecosystems and following the same principles to grow food? 🍉
This process involves no pesticides of any kind and is a method of working with the environment not against it 🌏

Quick reminder that it's ok to not be ok ❤️ It's ok to feel frozen, unproductive and uncreative. It's ok to not get out of your pyjamas, to eat cereal for dinner and to binge on Netflix series for a while 👩💻 No one was prepared for this and there is no right way to feel. We are here to try make you smile, distract you and feel a sense of community when you're ready for that ❤️

The silver lining to what we're experiencing is the lessons it teaches us all about how to be better as individuals and as a society. Let's not forget these lessons, let's keep these habits — they will help us in the journey for a green and peaceful future.

Flatten. The. Curve. You may (or may not) have heard about this. Flattening the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic refers to slowing down the spread of the virus over time in the hopes of preventing a huge spike in infections all at once. A large, sudden increase in the number of infections could lead to a greater number of people needing hospital treatment – which could overwhelm hospital resources and staff.
---
One of the ways we can help flatten the curve: practice social distancing. The CDC defines it as staying at least six feet away from another person and avoiding mass gatherings. Meaning limiting your exposure to other people. Unlike being in isolation or quarantine, social distancing doesn't mean you can never leave the house (think: you can still go for a run or walk outside, and go grocery shopping). But experts warn against any unnecessary gatherings and encourage people to do things like work from home if possible and limit their social activity.

43 degrees today in NSW. Mass evacuations in process. Wind expected to fan the fires.
If you’re feeling helpless and hopeless about the bushfire crisis like me, here are four ways you can help. The first three are for those who have 💰 to spare, the last one is free and most important in the long run.
Stay safe today everyone. X
Ps. As has been pointed out to me and I 100% agree, the Government should really fund frontline services like RFS so they aren’t reliant on community donations. I agree wholeheartedly. Unfortunately the Govt is currently not lead by the type of people who know how to respond to a crisis, so the community must shell out. But we really need to talk about why a budget surplus is so important and fully funded frontline services aren’t.
