NYPD 17th Precinct

We are aware of someone utilizing the 17th Precincts phone number to call the public and pretend to be an officer requesting information (called spoofing). If you are not expecting a call and want to verify the information, you can call the number back to verify.

During an investigation into a dispute, these officers were alerted to a firearm in an apartment. After a further investigation and some keen eyes, officers were able to recover a small cache of dangerous weapons, including 2 ghost guns.
