Medicaid and most private insurance plans cover PrEP, and additional assistance programs are available to help eligible individuals access HIV prevention services.

This PrEP Aware Week, VIP Community Services is raising awareness about the resources available to help New Yorkers protect their s*xual health. 🫶🏽

PrEP is available in different forms, including daily pills and long-acting injections. These options allow individuals to work with their healthcare providers to find a prevention method that fits their needs. 💊💉

PrEP Aware Week is about more than HIV prevention. It's also about having the information and support to make informed decisions about your s*xual health.

Through this year's Peace. Power. PrEP. campaign, eight New Yorkers are sharing their experiences and perspectives on HIV prevention and the importance of self-care.

Did you know? According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. When breast cancer is detected in its early, localized stages, the 5-year relative survival rate is over 99%. 🎀🩷

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, VIP Community Services encourages women to stay up to date with recommended screenings and speak with their health care provider about any concerns. 🥼🩺

VIP’s Health Services team helps women prioritize their breast health through regular check-ups and mammogram screenings, including visits from a mobile mammography van that provides screenings right in the community. The next visit is scheduled for Monday, November 9th. We encourage you to join us! 💕🫱🏾‍🫲🏼

PrEP, or pre-exposure prophylaxis, is a highly effective HIV prevention option for people who are HIV-negative.

During PrEP Aware Week, VIP Community Services is encouraging New Yorkers to learn about their prevention options and speak with a healthcare provider about whether PrEP is right for them. 🫱🏾‍🫲🏽🥼

From October 19th–25th, VIP Community Services is recognizing PrEP Aware Week, a statewide campaign led by the NYSDOH - New York State Health Department AIDS Institute to promote HIV prevention, education, and access to care. ⚕️

This year's theme, Peace. Power. PrEP., highlights the importance of making informed decisions about s*xual health and taking steps to prevent HIV.
