Today, tenants from across Massachusetts are heading to the State House. 🏠✊🏾 We’ve knocked on doors, gathered tens of thousands of signatures, and built something real. Now we’re bringing it to the halls of power. Boston, we’re coming.

Rents are up. 📈 Wages aren't. 💵 Corporate landlords have no limits. On Tuesday, we show up. Boston. State House. 12pm. 🏠✊🏾

Across the country, rent is rising faster than wages. Families are being pushed out of their homes and communities.
This crisis isn’t caused by immigrants or renters demanding too much. It’s driven by housing speculation—when corporate investors treat housing like a financial asset instead of a basic human need.
That’s why tenants are organizing for rent control in Massachusetts.
Rent control is about democracy. It’s about communities having the power to set limits on landlord rent hikes so people can stay in their homes.
On April 7th, tenants and community organizations will gather in Boston to demand housing stability.
Because housing should be homes for people—not profits for investors.

🚨 HUD is calling this a 'loophole.' That is a lie. For decades, HUD's mixed status guidelines have allowed undocumented family members — who receive NO federal housing assistance and pay MORE in rent — to live with their documented family members. This rule would end that, putting hundreds of thousands at risk of eviction, all while costing the system millions of dollars and gutting affordable housing https://bit.ly/4kP5mMw It's cruel. It's costly. It's counterproductive. Tell HUD NO before April 15: https://bit.ly/KFTrttc

HUD’s new proposal is cruel, costly, and counterproductive. It would rip families apart and increase eviction & homelessness during a housing crisis. Join me in telling HUD Secretary Scott Turner to withdraw it.

No family should have to choose between being together and having a home. home 🏠 Yet that is exactly what the HUD's proposed Mixed Status Rule would force upon hundreds of thousands of people. Undocumented family members already receive ZERO federal assistance — their households actually pay higher rent, subsidizing the entire system. This rule won't save money. It would waste it, destabilize communities, and push families toward homelessness during the worst affordable housing crisis in a generation. Stand with us. Tell HUD to withdraw it: https://bit.ly/KFTrttc

🏠 Everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home — and that stability is the foundation of thriving communities. HUD's proposed Mixed Status Rule would tear that foundation apart. It would force hundreds of thousands of mixed immigration status families into an impossible choice: separate your household or face eviction and homelessness together. This rule is cruel, costly, and counterproductive — and we can stop it. ⚡️Flood HUD with comments before April 15!⚡️ ➡️ https://bit.ly/KFTrttc

In the face of a hostile legislature & stalled policies, have stopped asking politicians for help & started building their own power—by turning corporate landlords’ financial records into weapons.

"Respond, recover, reimagine. We believe that crises reveal an opening to shift what’s politically possible. Sonoma County’s disaster-triggered eviction moratorium at first seemed far from possible, but after years of shifting the narrative with decision makers, we set an example to ensure a more just recovery for working-class, immigrant, and excluded workers in our county." - North Bay Organizing Project.
