Community connections and accessible groceries are essential for every day life. 🥦 🍎

Elite Learners’ Let’s Eat program joined partners at the Christ Fellow Baptist Church in Brooklyn where we connected community members through our grocery delivery program. Our program leader Betty shared information and provided sample groceries to attendees who were eligible for sign up and some awesome merch to other guests. ✨

Some of the other partners included our friends at Emblem Health, Health First, as well as a hand masseuse!

We’re proud to continue meeting our community where they are and connecting families and individuals with the resources that make a difference.

Conversations can always bring change. 🧡

Elite Learners was proud to attend the Strides for Peace National Gun Violence Prevention Expo in Chicago last week, where our CEO and senior staff met with other prevention thought leaders, survivors, parents, advocates, changemakers and community voices from across the country.

Our CEO, Camara Jackson, spoke on the ‘Don’t Bend, Ascend: Women in CVI’ panel, where she dropped some gems of inspiration. ✨ Swipe to see a clip of her on the panel! 👏

It was a powerful couple of days in Chicago, and we’re grateful that we could be part of it all. Enough is enough!

September was an amazing month of work for Elite Learners! We hosted tons of events, launched new initiatives, and met with powerful leaders all while making a positive impact in our community. A new school year deserves a safe, fun start! 🎒✨

Elite Learners teamed up with Rita Joseph to bring students and families together at Janice Marie Knight School for an afternoon filled with games, sweet treats, backpack giveaways and plenty of community energy. The kids even LOVED the face painting! 🎨

Creating these memorable moments is only part of the mission, Elite Learners is committed to creating spaces where young people can come connect, feel supported, and enjoy being themselves safely.

Today the dads took the lead! 🙌

Elite Learners joined Meyer Levins Junior High School for a special Dad Drop-Off event to start the school day. Students welcomed their dads for an ice-breaking ceremony before indulging in a delicious breakfast together. It was so rewarding to watch the fathers and kids have a moment to bond and reconnect before they take on their day. ✨

Elite set up a customized Photo Booth for dads and their children, as well as contributed full barber kits to their raffle, allowing some dads to take home some essential goodies. 💈

Two days into the new school year, East New York came together to celebrate. 🎒🎉

Elite Learners hosted a Back to School BBQ & Carnival for students, parents and families to come together for an afternoon of food, fun, games and plenty of smiles after the second day of school. ✨

We know that a new school year isn’t just about getting back to the classroom. It’s about community, connection and making sure our young students know they have people in their corner.
