Roses in paint. Aargh my favourite floral bloom, the rose, has been captured so perfectly and beautifully in these artworks. Whilst the style and colours of these painted roses may differ, their sweet captivation shares a joy and wonder that I love.

New York living. This former nightclub in Tribeca has been redesigned into a luxe, elegant and contemporary home by . I especially love the marble selected here and panelling decor which adds a classic and timeless appeal. Sadly Canberra does not have such wondrous marble companies here to peruse and select where I must go to Sydney to do so. I often watch these American design shows on tv and sigh when I see their vast and fabulous marble slabs to choose from. Oh the variety cable to them where my mind ponders how I too would use these natural beauties in design concepts ok aka my home first. Oh the issues raised when living in a city devoid of such interior design products. But then again I cannot complain Canberra has many other fabulous cultural institutions here as Australia’s National Capital which in forever grateful for and inspired by.

Art in all its glory. I visited Auckland last March where I did one of my favourite touristy activities visiting local art galleries and museum. One visit was to where I found this sweet and delightful antique artwork featuring these rose blooms. In my appreciative awe, I also notice the framing used to enhance these original artworks. Sometimes frames don’t always do well by these artworks but often clever artistry is also applied. With this particular artwork, this ornate gilded frame mimics the light feathery strokes of these floral blooms.
