The city used to make spotlight videos for local businesses đŸŽ„ — ribbon cuttings, events, grand openings — and those videos reached thousands and helped businesses grow 📈.

That support is gone now, and most businesses are stuck doing marketing alone, paying thousands, or skipping it completely.

So I’m stepping in đŸ’Ș

I’ve got 15 years of experience in marketing and content creation, and I’m using it to support our community. If you’re a local business and need videos, photos, social media, a website — whatever you need — I got you 🙌

And here’s the part nobody expects: YOU set the price 💰
Whether you only want to spend $100 or $1,000, it doesn’t matter — I’ll work within your budget and make sure you get what you need to bring in customers 🧡

If you’re interested, send me a message and let’s get your business seen again 🚀

Do me a favor — follow this page. From now on, I’m dedicating it to showcasing local businesses and keeping everyone updated on what’s happening around the city đŸ™ïž

And if you know a business that deserves some love, tag them in the comments 👇

Let’s bring life back to Gloversville together đŸ”„

To the Gloversville Community — A Message That Needs to Be Heard

Today is Juneteenth—a day of freedom, reflection, and community. And yet, here we are, standing at LaShawn Hawkins’ event to rebrand her nonprofit organization —now rebranded as “LaShawn’s Heart”—disappointed, heartbroken, and frankly, stunned by the lack of turnout.

For the last five years, LaShawn has poured her heart into this community. She has worked with hundreds of families, raised tens of thousands of dollars, and organized backpack giveaways, Thanksgiving meals, Christmas gift drives, and emergency food distributions—all without asking for much in return. She has busted her ass day in and day out to support, uplift, and love this community.

So I ask:
Where is the community today?
Where are the 700 parents who lined up to get free school supplies for their children?
Where are the 500+ families who came to get trunks full of groceries?
Where are the organizations and leaders who had no problem posing for a photo op with LaShawn when it benefited their image or secured them grant funding?

This isn’t just a poor turnout—it’s a lack of appreciation, a lack of gratitude, and a failure to show up for someone who has shown up for all of you.

You didn’t need to be Black to show up today. You just needed to be thankful.
This was not a “Black event.” This was a community event, built from love and service. And if even a fraction of the people who have benefited from LaShawn’s hard work had shown up today, Main Street would be blocked by the crowd.

This—right here—is why good people leave.
Because too often, they aren’t seen or celebrated until they’re gone.

So to LaShawn: Keep doing what you're doing. Your heart, your work, and your sacrifices matter. Even if today didn’t look how it should have, your legacy is undeniable.

And to the rest of Gloversville: Do better.
Because you won’t get many more LaShawns.

Ps... how many people you know made a documentary with no budget? I know 1 person!

The best man for the job!

I’m excited to be out in the community meeting with residents and collecting signatures for my petition to get on the ballot! I have a dedicated team canvassing door-to-door, and I’m also personally available to meet. If you’d like to sign, I’d be happy to come to your home, meet you at work, or you can message me to meet. Most people know where to find me during the day as well. Every signature helps move this campaign forward, and I truly appreciate your support!

Today’s Grand Opening event was a huge success!

We want to thank our friends, family, staff, and the entire community for your support, love, and dedication—it truly means the world to us.

But none of this—none of our success over the last 30 years—would have been possible without the most hardworking man I know: my father.

Thank you, Yaba! Your strength, vision, and relentless effort have built the foundation we stand on today. This is your legacy, and we are so proud to carry it forward.

Here’s to the next chapter!
