Today we remember David Mixner on the anniversary of his passing — a visionary activist, mentor, and dear friend to the Ali Forney Center.
His extraodinary legacy and commitment to LGBTQ+ youth continues on through the David Mixner Memorial Fund, which supports the life-saving work of the Ali Forney Center and the young people we support.

Black History Month begins today. We continue to remember Ali Forney and carry his name with us as we take care of our young people each and every day. Uplifting Black lives, legacy, and joy this month and always. 🧡
On this final day of 2025, we look back at the stories we've shared and the lives that we've touched. To all those that have supported our work this year, a sincere and genuine thank you. And to all those who are yet to, there is still time to make an impact in 2025.

LGBTQ+ young adults deserve affirmation and care. No one's identity should be a barrier to a successful future.
"That night, I left the home I grew up in. I was hurt and scared, but I wasn't lost. I knew there was a place for me to go where I could get assigned housing and have people who would look out for me."
