💚 Fighting poverty in New York City for over 35 years.
100% of donations go to our neighbors in need. Learn more at www.robinhood.org.

Founded in 1988, Robin Hood finds, fuels, and creates the most impactful and scalable solutions lifting families out of poverty in New York City, with models that can work across the country. This year, Robin Hood will invest nearly $200 million to provide COVID relief, legal services, housing, meals, workforce development training, education programs, and more to families in poverty in New York City. Robin Hood tracks every program with rigorous metrics, and since Robin Hood’s Board of Directors covers all overhead, 100 percent of every donation goes directly to the poverty fight.

What started as a goal has become a lesson in trust. 🏃‍♀️

This November, Lauren Stoute will take on her first TCS New York City Marathon with Team Robin Hood. Inspired by the city that helped shape her resilience, she's running to give back to New Yorkers while supporting Robin Hood's fight against poverty.

Through every early morning, training run, and moment of self-doubt, Lauren is learning that big achievements are built one ordinary decision at a time. We're proud to have her on Team Robin Hood. 💙

Twenty-five years ago, The Concert for New York City brought together artists, first responders, bereaved families, and millions of viewers in a show of unity, gratitude, and hope following 9/11. The concert raised millions for Robin Hood's first Relief Fund to support those whose lives and livelihoods had been upended by the attacks and marked the moment the city began its path to recovery.

As we commemorate the concert's 25th anniversary, hear stories and reflections from Jon Bon Jovi, Robert De Niro, Jimmy Fallon, Madison Square Garden CEO James Dolan, concert co-producer John Sykes, and Robin Hood co-founder Paul Tudor Jones on the lasting impact of that unforgettable night.

Watch now and revisit the night New York came together.

On National Poverty Day, we're reminded that hard work alone isn't always enough to make ends meet.

For too many New Yorkers, rising costs for health care, food, caregiving, and basic needs continue to outpace wages and assistance. Sonia's story highlights the impossible tradeoffs people face when the systems designed to support them don't keep up with the realities of daily life.

At Robin Hood, we're investing in solutions that help families not just get by, but build stability and opportunity for the future.

Policy works best when it's built on what people actually need.

NYC is expanding access to child care — a huge opportunity to make raising a family here easier. But getting it right starts with knowing what parents actually want.

That's why Robin Hood partnered with City of New York Government, New America and NORC to fund the largest representative survey of NYC parents with kids under six — hearing directly from more than 4,300 families about the care they need, when they need it, and how that changes as their kids grow.

Child care shapes whether parents can work, what families can afford, and the choices parents get to make for their kids. Those stakes are highest for families with the fewest resources.

The data is now public, so policymakers, providers, and advocates can keep building on what parents told us.

Because the best child care policy starts with listening to the families living it every day.

We were proud to partner with The HOPE Program to help New Yorkers prepare for the next chapter of their careers.

Through mock interview coaching sessions, member of The Forest shared their time, expertise, and encouragement, helping participants strengthen their interview skills and build confidence as they pursue new employment opportunities.

At Robin Hood, we know that access to quality jobs and economic mobility are critical to breaking the cycle of poverty. That's why we're proud to support organizations like The HOPE Program, which equips New Yorkers with the training, resources, and long-term support needed to build sustainable careers and brighter futures.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped create pathways to opportunity across New York City. 💙

Thank you to the incredible team from OC&C Strategy Consultants for spending an afternoon over the weekend volunteering with us at New York Common Pantry's Mobile Pantry Hub in the Bronx.

Nearly 100 volunteers came together to pack groceries for New York households, helping support families across the city with access to nutritious food and essential resources.

Moments like these show the power of partnership in action. We’re proud to support New York Common Pantry’s work and grateful to our partners at OC&C for helping make a difference for New Yorkers.
