Chairman Hann released the following statement following the Revolutionary Communists of America rally & march in Minneapolis on Saturday afternoon:

"Minnesota is on the front line at a critical juncture in history, and the battle between freedom and totalitarianism is raging in this state. We must not just hope for a better future; we must actively work to defend the principles that make our society prosperous and just.

Twin Cities Democratic Socialists of America successfully organized nearly 19 percent of voters in the DFL presidential primary in Minnesota who chose to vote 'uncommitted' on Super Tuesday - the second-highest percentage of 'uncommitted' votes among the states that allowed this option. Furthermore, just last fall, a Marxism training weekend was offered in the Twin Cities. Concerningly, the DFL has yet to speak out against this dangerous ideology that continues to permeate their party.

I will continue to warn Minnesotans that the consequences of unchecked socialism and communism are real. We - Republicans and Democrats alike - must take action to prevent its spread by speaking out about the realities of the agenda of the Revolutionary Communists of America."
