We have been invited to volunteer at the New York Botanicals Gardens Bronx Day on Saturday, June 14th from 11am-3pm! 🙋♀️
Volunteers assist for these shifts:
- 9:45-1pm
- 12:45-3pm
If volunteers are available for the whole day, that’s even better! Volunteering will entail with event support such as assisting Arts & Crafts, Face Painting, and other vendors and artisans set up and facilitate their activities.

consider applying to the CUNY Food Justice Fellowship!
This program is a PAID opportunity designed
to offer CUNY students training and participation in a variety of food-centered civic activities. The focus of the 2025 cohort is
food labor! Students will learn about worker’s rights in the food sector and food labor issues such as the fight for better wages and working conditions. They will work closely with a
local labor organization, gaining new skills and connections that will benefit them in their post-graduate pursuits.

This week, The Herbert H. Lehman Leadership Center is wrapping up our workshops. Here, you can see our Public Service program, which aimed to prepare students for serving the community through student government , in their virtual class on the last day. Facilitated by Emile Zounoun , this program incorporated lessons from when he was Lehman's SGA president and skills he learned during his graduate studies at Harvard University. We are always proud of our students' growth and support from our partners.
