ANZAC Day Dawn Service 2026🇦🇺

On Saturday morning, we gathered to honour the immense bravery and sacrifice of those who served. It was especially meaningful to be alongside members of the Australian community and international friends to honour our service personnel.

We were pleased to be joined by Chief of the Royal Australian Navy, Vice Admiral Mark Hammond AO RAN, Ambassador for First Nations People, Mr Justin Mohamed, former Prime Minister and most recent Ambassador to the US, the Hon Dr Kevin Rudd AC, and former Prime Minister the Hon Malcolm Turnbull AC. A special thank you to our partners from the Lenape Center, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Türkiye who helped commemorate our service.

We also extend special thanks to the and the Cadets of the U.S. Military Academy West Point () for helping us deliver this service.

What an incredible night celebrating the official launch of the permanent store for right in the heart of SoHo!

Driven by their mission to promote Australian artistry on a global scale, founders Kelly Atkinson and Richard Poulson opened a space dedicated to showcasing independent Australian fashion designers.

A new Virginia‑class submarine has joined the US Navy fleet.

Consul‑General Heather Ridout AO was pleased to attend the commissioning ceremony of the USS Massachusetts in Boston alongside AVM Carl Newman, Head of Australian Defence Staff at the Embassy of Australia (Australia in the United States), and CDRE David Frost, Naval Attaché to the United States, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and the ship’s sponsor, Cheryl Sandberg.

The event marked the twenty‑fifth addition to the Navy’s growing fleet of modern, nuclear‑powered submarines and highlighted continued cooperation with allies and partners.
