Rest In Peace, Tomie dePaola, author and illustrator of a number of beloved children’s books. Tomie passed away today at the age of 85. He was well known for his many books, perhaps most popular of all, Strega Nona. 💜
Many of dePaola’s books are available electronically from our collections if you would like to celebrate his life with a bedtime story tonight.

Join us this Saturday for a special movie screening of the 2018 film Monsters & Men writer and directed by Staten Island’s own Reinaldo Marcus Green. The screening will begin at 11am in our auditorium.

Come listen to a read-aloud of our favorite Pete the Cat books, sing Pete's favorite songs, and make a Pete the Cat craft or color in a Pete coloring sheet at the St. George Library! Recommended age: 3-7! Also In collaboration with St. George Theatre, we will give away tickets to their upcoming Pete the Cat show while supplies last! The St. George Theatre will present Pete the Cat the Musical on Friday, June 7 at 6pm as part of their Affordable Family Theater series. This show is recommended for families and children 3+.
