While Eastern Queens was generally not hit as hard as other areas, I know that some local residents did suffer serious impacts from Hurricane Ida. Here is a link that will connect you to the city’s online list of post-storm resources, including getting help from FEMA, filing a claim with the comptroller’s office, accessing business assistance, and more.

Thank you, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, for the touching 9/11 ceremony you held at Borough Hall last night. It honored all 2,977 souls lost that day, including 232 Queens residents. It keeps the memories of those we lost 20 years ago alive in our hearts.

Out talking to flooding victims in Bayside Hills and want to commend the New York City Department of Sanitation for the sensitivity their people displayed to homeowners who have lost so much. Little things matter and go a long way.
