Pakistan has expressed disappointment at the lack of response from the United Nations regarding thousands missing people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Speaking at an Arria Formula meeting, DPR Ambassador Usman Jadoon highlighted the urgent need to address the abduction and disappearance of 13,000 young Kashmiri boys by Indian occupying forces.

Ambassador Jadoon underscored the tragic plight of “half widows,” Kashmiri women living in uncertainty about the fate of their loved ones. He called on the UN to focus on specific cases rather than broad discussions on missing persons, emphasizing that the effective response lies in the strict application of international law and accountability.

He urged the UN, Human Rights Council, and other bodies to address concrete cases of missing persons in armed conflicts to make a meaningful impact.
