Indies trader capt/ legend, Tony Eltherington saves the day...

Lunchtime yesterday, David Scard received a phone call with a cry for help from a guy on a Mentawais boat (not one of ours). They had lost a man overboard on the overnight crossing between Padang and the islands. He was obviously distraught that one of his mates was lost at see. We promptly passed on all the details to some key players in Mentawais including John McGroder or Barrenjoey and Ainsley Ocean of Togat Nusa. Within a short time they had Tony 'Doris' Eltherington out there in the speedboat scanning the straight to no avail. Things were not looking good for man overboard, South African, Brett Archibald. We were told he was a strong swimmer and there was a lot of debris around so maybe he might have found a log to hang onto.
1 hour ago we receive this message from John McGroder,
• DORIS HAS HIM on the back of the Barrenjoey, ALIVE. On route to collect him. MIRACLE. 27 hours floating. found dehydrated and sunburnt. But alive!

Massive Kudos to Doris for finding Brett and for the A team players up there in Padang/Mentawais for making this happen! You guys are bloody legends!
